Dr. Dennis Gallenberg was born in the North Central Wisconsin City of Antigo. He was raised on a dairy and potato farm. Dennis received a B.S. degree in animal science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Minnesota. His medical interests include internal medicine, surgery and reproduction. He enjoys most outdoor activities, working his chocolate Labradors and Siberian huskies and reading.
Dr. Kimberly Reed Gallenberg was born and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate work and Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 1983 and was a classmate of Dr. Dennis. They married in 1986 and Dr. Kim joined Barrington Oaks in 1988. Her veterinary interests include feline and canine medicine, geriatric medicine and exotic medicine. She owns and shows American Saddlebred horses. She and Dennis have one daughter named Cameron.
Dr. Rick Peterson was raised in North Branch, Minnesota. He is a 1988 graduate from the University of Minnesota with a B. S. in Biology and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. Dr. Rick is a member of the AVMA and MVMA with a special interest in canine and feline medicine and surgery. He and his wife have one son. He enjoys woodworking, outdoor activities, gardening and landscaping and takes interest in old cars and trucks.
Dr. Sarah is a California native. She attended the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine with special interests in dermatology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine. She enjoys running, cooking, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Molly Galler grew up on a hobby farm in Farmington, Minnesota. She fulfilled her lifelong dream of being a veterinarian when she graduated from the University Of Minnesota College Of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include dentistry, ophthalmology, and surgery. Outside of work Dr. Molly loves to spend time with her husband Jon and her son Nathan and their dogs Sami and Lexi. As a family they enjoy outdoor activities like camping, 4-wheeling, hunting, fishing, and canoeing.
I grew up on a farm in northeastern South Dakota. My family raised dairy cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens. Dogs and barn cats completed the picture. These early experiences nurtured my life-long love for animals and eventually led to my career choice to become a veterinarian. My undergraduate years were spent at the University of South Dakota and the University of Minnesota. I obtained my DVM degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. My special interests include feline medicine, dermatology, behavior medicine and client education. My family consists of adult children and twin granddaughters. Currently I share my home with a pampered 18 year old kitty named Bessie.
Outside of the clinic setting, I enjoy hiking, biking, reading and singing in the choir.
A 1996 Minnesota School of Business graduate, Carrie has been in the veterinary field for more than 15 years. Carrie enjoys taking care of her pets' needs and has a big heart for those animals that need a little extra attention. She has two dogs, Louie and Buddy and a cat named Al. Carrie also enjoys getting together with friends and family.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Kristin has worked in the veterinary field for over twenty years. She graduated from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in the early 1990's. Kristin completed an internship and lived in Maui, Hawaii for one year before returning to her home state of Minnesota where she has worked as a Certified Veterinary Technician at small animal hospitals throughout the suburbs. Kristin has been with Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital since 1999 and is raising two sons and a daughter. Her special interests include internal medicine, lab work and in particular, working with geriatric cats. She likes to travel and attend her children's sporting events which include BMX.
Trinity graduated as a veterinary technician from Argosy University in 2004. She then took her state and national tests and became certified. She has been with Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital since she graduated. She enjoys reading, bowling and singing karaoke. She has two cats, Mufasa and Simba, two ferrets, Martin and Fritz, along with a mouse named Oreo.
Michelle knew since she was a little girl that she wanted to work with animals. She attended the Minnesota School of Business to become a veterinary technician and graduated in 2004. She has been with Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital for over 10 years, enjoys it very much and has learned to and loves working with all kinds of exotic animals in addition to dogs and cats. Michelle has 1 dog and 1 cat. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. When she's not working Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband son.
Leah graduated from Globe University with her associates degree in veterinary technology in 2013. She moved to MN. from WI. in June 2013 and joined Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital in August 2013. Leah lives with her husband Zach and her 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 rats. They have recently welcomed their first child. Leah loves her job and also enjoys being outdoors, camping, fishing, and horseback riding.
Anna has been a veterinary assistant with Barrington Oaks since 2006. She has three labrador retrievers and two cats. Her hobbies include dog training, hunting and fishing. She enjoys being outdoors. Anna has her Associate Degree in Business Management and hopes to one day open a boarding and training facility.
Heather was born and raised in Minnesota. She has four dogs,three cats, three snakes, a chameleon, and a gecko. Heather has been employed with Barrington Oaks North Animal Clinic for 5 years. In her spare time, she likes to travel and camp with her three children.
Pam grew up on a farm in Lake Benton, Minnesota. She has been with Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years and enjoys visiting with clients and their pets and is happy to be a part of the Barrington Oaks family. Pam has eight cats, three dogs and two guinea pigs. She and her husband have four children. She likes reading, walking with her dogs at the park and riding with her husband on their motorcycle.
Tammy has been with Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital since 1998. She started out as our groomer, and then receptionist. She is currently our receptionist and veterinary assistant in our Princeton location. Tammy enjoys showing her dogs at top level competitions all over the country. She has a daughter and a son, plus 2 granddaughters. Tammy enjoys her free time spending it with her husband Jeff of 30 years.
Tami grew up in Elk River and is an Elk River High School graduate. She and her husband, Mike, moved to Big Lake in 1989 and are raising their five children. Tami was a stay-at-home mom and daycare provider for 14 years before joining the staff at Barrington Oaks as a kennel and veterinary assistant. Tami's interests include caring for her many pets, reading, cross stitching and going on walks.
My name is Catie and I feel very privileged to be a member of the Barrington Oaks team! I can safely say that I have been an animal lover my whole life! As such, I was attracted to the area of veterinary medicine and have been working in the field for about 5 years. When not working, I enjoy spending time with family. Fishing and yard work are among my other hobbies.
Brenda has been a Veterinary Assistant for 13 years and professional groomer for 4 years. She has a love for all animals. Brenda has a farm in Cambridge where she enjoys caring for all of her many furry kids. Hobbies include showing and training horses, hunting, fishing, and spending outdoor time with family.She enjoys educating clients on nutrition and behavior.
Ben graduated from the Minnesota School of Business with his Associates degree in Veterinary Technology in 2015. He has been a life-long Minnesota native, and joined Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital in September 2015. Ben's family includes his mother, father, his younger twin brother, and two other younger brothers. Ben's fur family includes 2 dogs named Scamper and Carlos, 1 cat named Lucy, and 2 Guinea Pigs named Snoball and Wonkie. Ben's hobbies include being outside, enjoying the company of his friends, going on adventures, and spending time with his family.
Alesha is a graduate of Minnesota School of Business in Dec. 2009, and obtained her CVT certification in Jan. 2010. She has been with Barrington Oaks since May 2014. Alesha has a special interest in exotics and specializes in them. Her hobbies are baking, crafting and enjoying a good book. She lives in Elk River with various exotic pets.
Denise is a certified technician and has her bachelor of science in animal science and her associates in veterinary technology. She was born and raised on a dairy farm and has always had a passion for animals. Denise has been with Barrington Oaks since 2016. She has a dog named Sky, 2 hermit crabs, and multiple cats. Denise enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Georgia is a CVT that graduated from Argosy University in August 2016, and has been working at Barrington Oaks since September 2016. She has loved animals all her life and can't imagine doing any other job. She has 2 dogs, Zoey a german shorthair pointer and a puggle named Sherman.
